The entire time I was on the dates with the the guys I was thinking man, the witch would be amazing but that couldn't be an option and thankfully it was.
I loved this so much! An amazing idea and wonderful execution! Sadly I am unable to donate, but I wanted to show you how much I adored this experience all the same; so please, accept this poem I wrote for you!
A Witch's Word/Invisible Ink: The written word Chipped into stone Bound between beginnings And ends A draft done over and over again Never amounting to a book Worth keeping close. Few know That the cure to such ails Is to take that stone And stop writing on it Instead dig deeper And find the gold within.
Halfway through I just found myself going "Can I just date the witch now?" without really thinking it was an option but holy crap I am so happy about that ending!
When installing from the Itch desktop, there are two options -- A Witch's Word_download.zip, and WitchsWord.zip. Only the second one will Launch on macOS -- the first fails with an executable-not-found error. The downloaded files are identical except for the receipt.json.
Perhaps the first download option should be removed, or they should be renamed to explain what they are?
First, let me just say wow, the writer is really looking for a manic pixie dream girl. He's also incredibly rude and pretentious. The second he referred to himself as a "nice guy" I started laughing. It physically pains me that people like that exist. (When he snapped at the person waiting our table to get their attention, I put my head in my hands. ) Aside from him, I really liked all the characters! But I liked the witch and her ending the best! I loved playing this and would be so excited to play it as a full length visual novel or text adventure game. Thanks so much for making this! I hope you expand on this idea, but even if not I'd love to play your future games.
I'm dying. I felt EMOTIONS! The blacksmith was a sad story, she took my baby, I didn't like her too much. The bookbinder was a super cute story, I began to love the with when she forgave the debt. I immediately HATED the authors story and couldn't even read half of it. When it came to the last one with the witch I died LESBIAN LOVERS YESS!! I loved this!
Owh my... this is such a beautiful turn of events and enchanting way of storytelling :')
The bladesmith is such a loyal and patience man, the writer sure is a narcistic one, but somehow the tale with the awkward nonchalantly honest bookbinder isn't fully developed like the others ^^;
This is an absolutely wonderful game and it played out exactly how I was hoping it would! I unfortunately do not have enough to support you through money, but I truly hope you continue to write stories and create things like this!

I downloaded the Mac version, but all it had were audio files, a .png file, and a index.html file. What should I do?
Just open the index.html file in any web browser (though I recommend Chrome) and it should work!
Awesome. Thanks!!
holy shit this is so beautiful. the music was perfect, i fell in love with the witch , and i thank you dearly for making this treasure <33
So, in the end we're lesbians?
This was cute lol, I felt bad for rejecting the guys tho XD
This won't run in the web browser on my chromebook. Is there a way for me to fix that?
